Today’s lunch: B I G raw salad of purple kale, tomatoes, red bell pepper, red onion, avocado, mango, frozen raspberries, golden raisins, almonds, and some quinoa with a tomato cider herby vinaigrette. It’s so delicious and fresh, yum!!

BIG SELF-LOVE PROMO

So, on NYE I reached 10K followers ^^ I did a holidays promo but I wanted to do something different… SOOOO this is not a normal promo!

I did something like this once and I really liked doing it SO… I’m doing it again. 2014 is my second year here on tumblr, and during my first year I learned how to love myself again, how to accept my body and how to be happy again. But that’s just me, my goal this year is to make other people love themselves even more! SO, I’m going to try to spread some positivity and self-love all over tumblr.

What do you have to do?

  • you can follow me if you want, but you don’t have to. because this is not about me, this is about you.
  • you could just reblog this… but that would be boring. I would LOVE it if you send me a message (not on anon) with one thing you love about yourself! I will do something with all of your messages, to make tumblr a little brighter and more positive^^

First of all, thank you so much for this! I think that nowadays people focus so much on their flaws that they don’t even take the time everyday to appreciate their strengths and qualities. 

  • I’m a pretty positive person. I make it a daily goal to spread that positivity and love with those around me. I always try to look on the bright side of things. I love to laugh and to make people laugh and feel good about themselves. 
  • I’m pretty darn good at keeping secrets!
  • I’ve been a vegan for 1.5 years and I’m sooooo proud of myself!
  • I’m learning how to take better care of my body and myself.
  • I’m unique. I’m quirky and I’m proud of it! I love being like nobody else. I really think that’s what makes us who we are!

Gosh, this was harder than I thought!!

So, is it just me or was 2013 just flat out lame? I don’t know what happened this year, it just flew by and the majority of all the things I set out to do never came to happen… 

So here are some tips, in no particular order, on how to make sure this year of 2014 is the best you ever had!!

  1. Forgive. If someone hurt you in someway, holding on to anger or resentment toward them is like eating a hot plate of poison and expecting the other person to die from it. Release those feelings. Release yourself. Free yourself from the past, so that you can move on to the present. A surprising and fascinating one.
  2. Let go of unhealthy patters. Try to be conscious of yours and try to break them. Grab a piece of paper and a pen, sit down with yourself and really go deep into what is going on inside your heart and try to see when and why that started. Identifying these behaviors is the first step towards healing.
  3. Take risks. Do something you’ve always wanted to do but never really had the guts to. Go bungee-jumping, start your dream business, go ask that one special person out. What is the worst that can happen?
  4. Have a personal mantra. Write down a list of five things you’d like to change about yourself in the form “I am (insert something about yourself)”. For example: “I’m stuck in a rut.” or “I’m incapable of loving and being loved.”. Then write them down in the opposite form. “I’m free. I’m a loving person. I’m worth being loved.”. Say this as many times as your need, when you wake up in the morning, when you go to bed at night, and whenever those feelings arise in your day. Hold on to this mantra as long as it is helpful to you.
  5. Love. Be loving and appreciative of all those in your life. Make sure you let them how much they mean to you, every day.
  6. Be a nice stranger. Smile to someone on the street. Compliment someone on the internet. Send a nice text to a random number. You never know how much someone might need those small acts of kindness.
  7. Eat healthy. There’s nothing like eating healthy, wholesome, home cooked meals. You’ll feel better and you’ll look better as well. 
  8. Work that body. Just do something. Make that blood pumping. It can be anything, a relaxing walk, a good jog, that great class at the gym. Get active and life will be much better.
  9. Get in touch with an old friend. Call someone you’ve lost contact with and go out for a cup of coffee and catch up.
  10. Laugh. Just do. 
  11. Be positive. ”Think positive & positive things will happen”.
  12. Go outside. Take a break from your day, and just go outside. Go in the sun, fall in love with the moon and the stars, watch the sunsets and dream with the sunrises. Turn off the TV, go away from the internet and just appreciate the beauty of the universe.
  13. Give back. Volunteer and help your local community. Be compassionate, and help those who are less fortunate. 
  14. Learn something new. Whether it is a new language or a new recipe. Make an effort to move forward and make yourself better. Break stillness.
  15. Be spiritual. Become one with your soul, find your inner voice and let it empower you. Meditate.
  16. Live in the now. Slow down, stop the glorification of busy. Literally, stop. JUST STOP. “There is more to life than increasing it’s speed” - Mahatma Gandhi.
  17. Be grateful. Come from a place of abundance rather than a place of lack. It makes a difference on both the spiritual and the material plane. “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never have enough.” - Oprah Winfrey 
  18. Don’t compare yourself with others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
  19. You’re in charge of your own happiness. ”Waiting for someone else to make you happy is the best way to be sad”. 
  20. Live. Don’t just merely exist. Live with purpose. Live with fire.
